Forgot one thing
I think now it's safe to put it up here, but there is some more news which needs to be communicated. For those of you who don't know yet, in the beginning of October we will have another BIG event in the family!!!!!!
Yes, you're right, Annalisa is pregnant. We are eagerly looking forward to having our first child. A little boy, but we are still fighting over the name. Suggestions welcome :-))
And for those who now think that we HAD to get married because of this.....not true. I asked he in March last year and it was all planned. Unfortunately you can't always choose the precise moment :-)
All done and dusted
So it's all over now (both the wedding and my "free" life). We had a lot of fun and the ceremony was wonderful...and so was the bride!!!
Despite a lot of stress over the past 3 days, we managed to really live the event and are both very happy. Yesterday on the train we talked about certain things and we realises that despite all the effort, we still missed out on lots of things (especially the food). Nevertheless, almost everything went perfect.
The service was very nice and once we got going (can you believe that Annalisa was actually over 10 minutes (!!!!) late....) everything went smoothly. The priest held a very nice service and the organist and the singer were really good. As I only had to read what was written in the little booklet (without understanding) it was fairly easy. A "SI" is not too difficult to get over your lips :-)
The weather was awesome and even though it was 30 degrees and blue sky, I think the head was bearable and once we got to the Cascina next to the lake, a little breeze helped out to make the weather perfect.
I'm sure you will all comment about the food (good or bad) but the aperitivo and the buffet were outstanding.
Games and dancing was also on the plan and I think we had a fantastic evening.
Back at work this morning (as you can see..) but Thursday finally off on honeymoon....can wait.
Looking forward to your comments and thoughts.
Thanks to our families and friends who made this day so special for us. We're looking forward to spending a lot of time with you over the coming years and have many wonderful events and moments together.

Who said I'm nervous??
Just 4 days to go....but hey..I'm still calm. I think the Guinness yesterday evening helped:-)
So, all sorted, but there's always the odd small thing that you forget. Annalisa is already in Milan and I am still in the office (as you can see I am very busy)...someone has to earn the money!!
So, I hope you have all your dresses and suits and (white) socks ready and printed your flight tickets or washed and fuelled your car for the big trip. I'll fly down on Thursday morning and have already a full schedule for the day with Annalisa's dad. She will also be very busy....make-up, hairdresser, massage etc....I'm sure she'll be very tired on Friday evening.
For those who come already to Monza it's only 2 days away. It's a really nice city and good for shopping...so bring appetite...in both senses.
Let's get this party started!!!

Two parties down - two to go
Last weekend we celebrated already with my parents and their friends in the castle in Bourscheid. I think everybody had a lot of fun, the weather was almost perfect, the food excellent and the atmosphere joyful. Around 80 people followed the invitation and I think the surroundings of the medieval castle gave something special to this event. After a 1h drink until everybody arrive, we sat down and had a very good meal. Before the desert, we all got up and went outside to release a hundred balloons with sparklers into the dark sky. They were supposed to fly to Milan.....has anybody seen one in Milan. We would love to know :-)
Afterwards we enjoyed some sweets including the famous "Baamkuch" and then we danced and celebrated until early in the morning.
Unless somebody tells me otherwise, I think we all had a lot of fun and everything was perfectly organised. Thanks again to my mother, my sister, my dad and of course Gerty, who were all responsible for the organisation and made this day a special one.
On Sunday, the second party with some 60 of my friends at our hunting chalet was also a success. Again, we were blessed with the weather and while we rushed in the morning to get everything organsised, the afternoon turned into a very relaxed get-together. I think some people were actually happy to catch up with some other they did not see for a while. A very big tank you to my family again for the organisation and especially to Luss for the excellent food. I saw people who went back several time to the BBQ and also to the salads and the deserts.
So all in all, a very successful weekend.
So all in all, a very successful weekend.
This weekend we're off to Milan to do the final checks and then we all set to go. 9 days to go.....

The first pre-wedding party
This weekend we are heading to Luxembourg to celebrate with our parents, their friends on Saturday in the castle of Bourscheid. My parents are already very stressed, but more because they have to organise a lot for us because we are obviously not there. They clearly deserve a big Thank You already. So the first event will start this Saturday, let's hope the weather remains warm (otherwise somebody will break my b@lls...).
Sunday then onto the next one, a nice relaxing BBQ with lots of friends from Luxembourg. I promise I'll stay far away from the fire...
Only 16 days to go.....that's not a lot.....really....wow....eh...maybe we could change...re-arrange...move the date.....or....
Just kidding....nervousness has not shown up yet. We're all ready to take the big step.....into an airplane bound for Mongolia!!!
Looking forward to having you all around....but missing comments, inspirations, words of wisdom and encouragement.....boys and girls, bring on some of it!!!
